A web afternoon

This past weekend I was in Atlanta for A Web Afternoon, a small conference held at Georgia Tech Research Institue. In addition to meeting some awesome new people and connecting in ‘real life’ with a couple web acquaintances, I got the opportunity to spend some time with family who recently relocated to Atlanta.

Overall the conference was amazing. The quality of the speakers and their messages was really worth the trip, and I feel energized, inspired and improved from attending. One speaker that really stood out to me was Leslie Jensen-Inman. The message she delivered was really exactly what I needed to hear that day. Instead of going on about her presentation, I’ll simply give you the link to her slides here. I would also recommend her MakeAwesomeness layered sketchbooks!

Here’s a shot of the crowd at the conference. If your interested in learning more about A Web Afternoon, you can visit their website here. Can’t wait for next years event!
