This past weekend I was in Atlanta for A Web Afternoon, a small conference held at Georgia Tech Research Institue. In addition to meeting some awesome new people and connecting in ‘real life’ with a couple web acquaintances, I got the opportunity to spend some time with family who recently relocated to Atlanta.

Overall the conference was amazing. The quality of the speakers and their messages was really worth the trip, and I feel energized, inspired and improved from attending. One speaker that really stood out to me was Leslie Jensen-Inman. The message she delivered was really exactly what I needed to hear that day. Instead of going on about her presentation, I’ll simply give you the link to her slides here. I would also recommend her MakeAwesomeness layered sketchbooks!

Here’s a shot of the crowd at the conference. If your interested in learning more about A Web Afternoon, you can visit their website here. Can’t wait for next years event!

Getting some new business cards printed has been long over due for me. As you can tell by the website redesign here, I’ve been working hard on rebranding myself. When it came time to design business cards, I knew I wanted something clean, clear, professional and memorable.

After I had the design all laid out, I enlisted the help of the super talented Evan Calkins to print the cards on his 1906 Chandler and Price letterpress. I could not have been more happy with the results! The impressions on the 110lb pearl white Crane Lettra are really beautiful. The problem is, now I’m finding loads of other materials I want letterpressed.
